This is a '78 Model 260 SeaRay. I initially thought these unusual bolt/screw heads might be Torx, but Torx sockets don't fit. Was told a 6-point socket would fit, but my (English/SAE) 6-points won't fit. I was horseing around and found that the female end of one of my 3/8" sockets seems to work. (Which would indicate a 4-point socket would fit -- but I haven't even found any at SnapOn.) Closest socket size seems to be around 3/8" or 7/16". Might someone have put a metric 6-point bolt on there?? Other??

a good hardware store should have them<br />3/8 - 12 point socket .I prefer the 1/2 inch drive but the 3/8 drive will work too.

Much thanks to Bt Doctur & Bondo! (I feel as stupid as hell -- I thought I'd checked w/ my 12-pts.-- but probably didn't, or else they're "too fat")
