Pontoons are bulkheaded every 4 feet. There were about 6 or 7 holes that punctured all up and down the toon. It was 2 large sections of boat dock that hit it. Holes in just the 1 side.

Gads Bixll, your boat is a mess, did you finish the Crown? If not (Nows the time)! Man I feel for you, I don't know what a Toon like that sells for but I hope you get reimbursed for this mess, I think next time I would look for a inclosed dock, not exposed at the end, of course hind sight is 20/20, Let us know how you come out with it. PS if you ran out of Crown I'll send you one.

Went home from the recovery, showerd, and killed the Crown! I was thinking the same thing about the end slip, but according to all club members, in over 30 years in existance, they had never had a problem with end slip before. Aint I the lucky one?!

Boy your luck is like mine, if it has never happened before it will happen to me, let us know how you come out with the insurance co. Did you ever find out if the other dock had insurance? Sure looked like you had all the bells and whistles on your boat, hope you get back in the water soon. Hang in there i've got a feeling you have a new boat in your future.

Re: Recovery Pics

I talk to the adjuster today. Just in phone conversations, I will be taking a loss in the area of around $5,000.00. I didn't realize at time of insuring, you had to have a rider for contents! My homeowners will cover non marine items, but I have $500.00 deductable on homeowners policy. Add to that the state tax of $1500.00 I paid when I registerd it (bought boat out of state), then you also have the $3000.00 trailer that without MAJOR modification is only good for that boat! Geez, maybe its more like $6,000.00!!!!
I don't know about the other boat dock yet, can't get in touch with them. I do know the talk is they are not planning on rebuilding! I am thinking that even if I do get something from a law suit from them, that money is a long way down the road coming!
I have decided I am not going any farther into debt for a boat, (I financed this with home equity)I will have to lower my sites some and get something used! That is a very bitter pill for me to swallow. Yesterday, coming to that conclusion was the most depressing day since this all started!

Bad deal.
If you have any intentions of going after the other dock owner get in line now! If anyone else wants a piece of him you will want to be at the front of the line not at the back. Hopefully it won't require much legal persuasion, but just in case don't hesitate!

Work on that adjuster, I wish you luck. I have thought abought you several times the last several days and my heart sure goes out to you. I seen the coverage of the marina breaking away on the national news but did not see your rig in the coverage. Also let us know how it works out in the end maybe I can learn somthing and checkup to see if I'm adequatly covered. (Hiccup) Sorry, now you got me drinking.

Re: Recovery Pics

Well things are looking up, maybe you will come out with minimal loss, other than labor and love you put in your boat, go rent one for the weekend and have a ball, you and your family deserve it, and don't forget the crown. Have a great weekend.
