Spent the last two evenings wet sanding and polshing my boat.

It wasnt real bad, but had some places where the metalflake on the top surfaces was just starting to dull, and the sides were getting dull. I lightly wet sanded the upper surfaces with 1500 grit and polished with 3M Super duty compaound, The sides I was able to just polish with the compound. Put on a coat of wax after the polishing, Man it looks great, like a new boat.

Now I have to get after the trailer.

I tryed just polishing the top, but even though it did shine up good, it still showed that it was rough, looks like new now with the wet sanding.

Sounds good. Wet sanding sucks, but the outcome is worth it.

Congratulations! I just machine compounded my 22' deep V too. Not an easy task but well worth it. I applied a light coat of wax on the parts I polished. I did not have to touch the bottom which I would never wax anyway.

My only regret for me is not taking before and after close up photos.

Bob
