GEL -Coat refinishing

I'm looking at a 25' Figerglas boat thats in need gelcoat refinishing on the hull. Can I do this myself or do I need specialized shop? How expensive can I expect this to run?

not sure if you mean by filling cracks e.t.c. or making the gelcoat nice and shiny again. I'm looking at mostly making it shiney again and possibly changinging the colour. Some small spider cracks.

Dano - if you hire a pro he can buff a boat that size for around $300 I bet and get you really good results. That's what I did and it was money well spent as it took 2 days solid on a 28 foot Formula<br /><br />I have a very dear friend from Newfoundland. Do you happen to know the Billings family?
