Just got hold of my first boat, needs a bit of TLC on the hull, only a few small spider cracks and chips.

But, any idea how I can find out what make / model the boat may be. Piccies of the boat can be found here

Also, any websites providing an idiots step by step guide to minor repairs on the boat hull.

Sorry for the 'school boy' questions, but everyone's got to start somewhere!

Over to the experts ........

"Also, any websites providing an idiots step by step guide to minor repairs on the boat hull."
Looks like you already found it. Hit the red search button on top of this page and you will find the answers you need. If not then just ask.

Davexx - Having boats remind you of women says to me that you're spending too much time with boats ;)

Realgun - Yep, it's powered, well it will be if I can get my Dad's 1961 5.5hp evinrude fisherman going again. So not a sail boat, I think it started life as an inland river cruiser (it's a 15 footer) but will be fine for me for what I need it for - fishing a mile or two out to sea and to practice boat repair techniques!

Jimtkid - no title, and no obvious numbers anywhere, it's obviously had a number of paint jobs in it's time. The previous owner has no idea.

Any new browsers got any thoughts as to what make it is?

I believe you are looking at a custom/self made craft here.

I, too, have never seen a bow rail like that. At least not around here.
