Does anyone have a list of MSRP's for 2004 Chaparral's? The do not have them listed on their website.

If not, could you post what you paid recently for your Chaparral?

I'm looking in the 20-23' range.

Thanks!

How could I miss that thread? It has over 300 replies! I'm not going to let one bad apple spoil the bunch. I've heard very good things about Chaparral. This is just an isolated incident I believe.

I just asked for prices - I don't want this to turn into a Chap vs. the world thread.

Dunno their current MSRP numbers. But relative to other brands I would expect the Chap $$ to be in between Crownline and Sea Ray Select.

Kelly Cook

Here are a couple of suggestions...

Search some web sites like iboats and boattrader.

Visit the dealer(s). Prices on boats most of the time but if not just ask.

Call the dealer(s). In my experience, if your nice on the phone they will give you the MSRP and add that if you "come on down" they will give you a good deal.

Hey, Don't sweat it. I bought a new Chaparral last year (even after reading the noted post). Very happy with it. 183SS model, 6cyl, under $20k new. Very well-built boat, great performance. If you're worried just make sure you choose a good dealer; really makes a difference when it counts.

Chaps have traditionally been a well built boat. After seeing how the ongoing saga ended, I would keep in mind that you were only hearing one side of the story(and a very vague, intermittent one at that!). I would have no reservations about buying that brand based on one internet tale.

I Bought a Chap myself, granted it's old, but a very sweet boat, built like a rock. If I was in the market for new, I'd look at Chap, reguardless of one un-happy poster.

I just bought a 04 Chap 210ssi, 5.0 carbed volvo penta.Sport seating, every option you can get, and I paid $28,900.

The 204ssi is slightly more, with all the same options. We were quoted $1200 more for that.

The 220ssi, again pretty much fully loaded at $37,000.

I bought a new 2002 Chap Sig 240 this year despite the posts mentioned. I know the dealer and their reputation and had no second thoughts. The boat has been excellent in fit, finish and quality. Good luck!
