I would like to take a minute to thank everyone on this message board for there help in bring a 1977 Baja back to life. Started the project last summer and the boat hit the water last night. Everything works great! The boat handles great and runs strong. This is a great web site for info and ordering parts.<br /><br />Thanks again,<br />Bob Davis<br /><br />

Like the Ferarri Red. Did you gel or paint? What paint/gel did you use?

She ran about 47 mph, I was hoping for a little more speed. Plan on playing around a little, maybe add CNC trim/tilt or look into different props. <br /><br />I will say this, I never sat in a boat that jump on plane as fast as this one does. I had a 1997 19ft Baja with a 350 and this little 16 would blow it off the line. <br /><br />The paint is interlux perfection, I followed the instruction and was a little uphappy that the paint didnt level out better. To look at it close up you can see the brush marks. Not sure, could of been my fault (First timer). Other then that it covered very nice and has a great shine to it.
