Hello,

I am not sure if this is the right forum, so excuse me if it's not.

I have I fishfinder I need to mount to the back of the boat, not sure what the part form the fishfinder is called, but it's the part that sits in the water.

My question is, do I predrill the screw holes, fill the holes with 3M 5200 and screw it down?

TIA,
Eric

yes you could do that if you never want to take it off again, remember 5200 is FOREVER. 4200 can be drilled out again. I would under size the drilled holes and then add 4200 to the screws and then drill them home.
