Motorguide 3400

Found a Motorguide 3400 at a garage sale and need to know the voltage and wiring procedure. It is white and has "BRUTE" in black on the head, white 5 speed foot control. IT has 10gauge red and black wires and a smaller red wire with a white stripe. There is a toggle on the side of the foot control...what does this do? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!<br /><br />Superbigstevie<br />Joplin.MO

I'm not real familiar with Motorguides but the toggle probably has three positions. The middle is off and up I think is CON (continous) down should be MOM (momentary). I would run it in the MOM position.<br />I would just run the wires to the battery and see what happens. If the prop is running clockwise I believe its wired right. If the prop is spinning counter clockwise I think its hooked up backwards and you will need to reverse the wires on the battery.<br />It won't hurt the trolling motor to do this so hook it up and see if she fires.<br />Good Luck!!!
