Anyone out there running a Minn Kota Riptide, AutoPilot, CoPilot?
I recently had my local mariner install one on my 19 ft' center console Key West. I can't wait until spring to try it out.

I have owned/operated an autopilot. I loved it. It was also on a center console-19' Palm Beach.

Plenty of power.

Hi, :)

Thanks for your speedy reply. Could you please give me the type batteries you used with your trolling motor, the charging cycle and how long you could troll between charging?
Also, did you have an on board battery charger, if so, what type did you use?

Rgards,

DoferGofer

Re: Minn Kota Trolling Motor!

DFG'r,

I use a MK Powerdrive 55AP with Copilot on my bowrider (3200#) and absolutely love it. I'm running on one 12v Trojan 225 battery (group 31 size), but plan to run 2 of them in parallel later this month. I get 4-5 hrs on the one battery at relatively high power settings when trolling for trout to get 1.5-2 mph. I'd like to extend that , which is why I'm going to a 2 battery, parallel setup. I can fish all day for bass on one battery with intermittent TM use working a shoreline.

I just installed a 3 bank, 45 amp (15 amp/bank) Dual Pro onboard charger that seems to work great. Easy to install and customise lead lengths and impossible to misuse/overcharge. Just plug it in and forget it. Feel free to email any specific questions. kalan@cwnet.com

Al
