Minn Kota Endura 30

Hi,<br /><br />I have a 17" Bowrider with a 115 Rude on the back. I have built two platforms with fishing seats which take the place of the seats fore and aft.<br /><br />I can get an extremely good deal on a new Endura 30 which I am told is not ideal for the 17" but that it could cope. Bearing in mind that I fish for perhaps 10 days a year I am loathed to spend the extra on the next model up.<br /><br />Any thoughts on whether there would be sufficient power to drive me along?<br /><br /><br />Andrew

andrew<br /> don't bother. I have a 40 power dr on my 17 ft bass boat wich was on my 14 jon. with a full bat charge it's insufficent on the 17 ft'r. how long is the puttin around?

Better to spend more on something you'll be happy with than an underpowered motor. The size you're looking at is for a 12' rowboat.

Andrew, according to the selection guide, 40 is the minimum thrust you should consider for a 17' boat. If I were you I'd consider going with the 46, which is rated for a boat up to 19'.
