Is it just me or has anyone else noticed how simular in design the new Hummingbird is to the Garmin??????
Funny how the "Bird" has also put "FishFinder" at the top of the molding, and the shape of the unit has become very simular.
Possibly a selling "gimmick"?????

Hunmminbird and Garmin stand alone.

Eagle and Lowrance are the same company with two seperate and distinct product lines.

AS we've found in our autos, power-tools and golf clubs, it might well be that many of the parts are manufactured in only one factory in only one foreign country..hence the similarities...
RichG TX

I guess anything is possible, but Garmin is #1 in the aviation industry and I know for a fact they wouldn't let a 'Bird out the door if it was made by them.
Eagle came from Lowrance as an economy unit to compete price-wise with the Bird, and I know Garmin doesn't rely on an "economy line" to compete.
