transducer depth??

Hi everyone, I have a ? about transducer depth. If one is going to use the transducer only when going 5 MPH or less then can a transom mount transducer be mounted on a sort of bracket that just clamps on to the transom? Does it matter if it is 6 inches under water or a foot??

Yes it can be clamped on. Cabelas has the clamps in their Trolling motor accessory dept. Depth doesn't matter as long as you adjust for it in your head or adjust it in the fisfinder.<br /><br />lee
