I would mount the battery switch in an easely accessable place as close to the batteries as possible.

I would run 8 or 10 guage 12 volt supply and ground wire to the helm area and install the fuse block under the helm. Be sure to fuse the 12 volt supply. That is where it will be close and easily accessable to you electronic toys.

The fuse/breaker panel can go anywhere its convenient. The 12V feed to that panel must be fuse/breaker protected at the battery otherwise a short in that line between the battery and the panel causes your boat to ahhhh "go Upinsmoke". Your toys will be fused at the panel and will connect there. As was mentioned, install the battery switch as close to the battery as you can.

Ya know guys, I thought those were the most logical places to install the switch and pannels too, I guess I wanted to see if I was right, and hear it from someone else. And I was! Thanks alot. One other question, What size fuse/breaker should I use inline between the battery and the fuse pannel? (this one I really dont know lol)
