Your sides are actually paint?? My Sylvan is a heavy vinyl decal type material, not sure how well a buffer would do on that. Got some more pics of "Smokey"?

Ya, it's all paint except the graphics. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna paint the metal on the inside. It's pretty grimy. I think alot of it wash off, but alot of it won't. The carpet is in pretty good shape and should clean up nicely, and with new paint on the inside, it should look really nice. Any tips on painting and paint type is welcomed.

The console and the steering wheel are pretty grimy too. I'm not sure that will clean up easily.

I rebuild and painted a lund. I used a marine paint from Finland but the primer is the main thing. Epoxy primer for aluminum.

try some chlorine mix...keep it away from carpets

it may clean thing up....it works wonders on patio stuff grimy with black mildew. let it work in a few minutes whil keepng it wet .

after.... a day in the sun with lots of UV can help.

My wife has these little "magic" cleaning pads that worked well on the console. The steering wheel is beyond cleaning and it will be replaced.

I got some of that mess cleaned up a bit. I don't think I want the gas can up there in an enclosure with the battery.

I think back here is a better spot. One good reason is its ventilated. I'm gonna reroute that filter also, so that line isn't hanging out right in the way.

be careful with battery switches, never use wing nuts etc... ETEC EMM,s are extremely allergic to voltage spikes.... EMM killers

Duly noted. The trolling battery has hex bolts in the terminals but the starting battery has wing nuts. I'll replace those with hex nuts and lock washers.
The fuel filter is critical to etec motors too, no? The one I have looks to be serviceable I think. I'll do that when I relocate it.

I don't think your VST has an internal conical filter..
bigger engines have one on the injector return line.

the external is easy to replace ... what is strongly recommended is an external fuel/water separator filter (RACOR 10 micron style ).

I have used this seasence for 18 years ..no issues with fuel... ever . Never realy seen watereither but I purge the base 1-2 times per season . The filter only module seems rare ??? for 46$ CDN you get both the filter and new clear bowl. The whole unit is about 80$ CDN
