Have this Motorguide but it has no continuous run feature......have to keep your foot on the switch to keep it running.

I guess some have that switch factory installed.

When I am running down a long bank, I would like for the motor to stay on while I move around. So Looks like I'll be adding a toggle switch on the side of the footrest to do that.

Will only be using it on 12v position at the lowest speeds so I don't see a safety issue.....unless I have a heart attack. Grin.

Mark

I use mine in the constant mode much of the time. And if you had a heart attack, why would you care if its set to constant on. If you are still kicking, you can concentrate on staying alive. If you cashed in your chips, someone will find the boat against a dam, over the dam, or stuck on someones dock. Geez -- what a cheery thought! All because of a darned switch.

Hey UP still laughing. Love your humor and you are exactly right. Like who is a funeral for? The deceased? Big Har Har.

Later,

Mark

Re: Gonna add a switch

I've already made my funeral arrangements. Order #1 was to get a hitch installed on the hearse because I'm taking my boat with me. My family can fight over the rest of the stuff.

I solved that problem by adding an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator). Remind me to get a bigger circuitbreaker...
