Running 2 Lowrance LM 332's on a LowranceNet with a LCG 2000 GPS puck. Although I can see 3-6 satelites being tracked, I can not get the system to "Acquire the Location".

Here's a list of my trouble shooting so far:
Network is powered.
Voltage is 12.7V
Network is terminated with 120 ohm terminators on each end.
"WAAS Required" is not checked.
GPS puck is responding and "seen" by the system.
Signal to Noise Ratio on the satelites run 32-40.
Tried changing puck and both read the same.
GPS puck has clear view of sky.
Tried initializing the GPS by moving cursor close to present location.

Any other Ideas? Thanks in advance for the help.

Go to Lowrance web site and check to see if your units have the most recent updates.

http://www.lowrance.com/manuals/Files/NMEA2000NetworksGeneralInfo_0154-172_101005.pdf
this PDF is there latest how to connect NEMA 2000 things

from what i have read you would need 3 T fittings to connect 2 units and a puck

Are you connecting the NEMA 2000 to 12 volt in more than one spot ?

Also what happents if you connect a single unit with a 60 ohm in the base setup ?

http://www.lowrance.com/support/faq/gps_faq.asp

i am useing a 3500C with out problem BUT most of the manual delivered with the unit is WORNG or hard to understand on the NEMA 2000

Also in there faq they recomend a HARD restart which will lose all your waypoints iy you dont back them up on and SD card

3 to 6 if there not steady might be a problem during the unit setup its needs to get the UTM time to think well they say it can take up to 20 minutes the fist time

i was getting 8 good ones on my kitchen table with a southern view and it took about 90 seconds to get a 2d fix and 3 minutes for 3d

i havent been able to get a WAAS even outside yet

tommays

Re: LM 332 GPS Won't Aquire Location

Commander- tried the hard reset and it quickly acquired the location! Problem solved, but...

I then powered down and then powered up again and it could not acquire. I tried another hard reset and could not acquire the location.

I'll try connecting the puck directly and bypass the network to see if that works.

Thanks for your help.

dont forget you still need to T the puck with the single 60 OHM to work :)

It also says you cant network a sonar transducer.

When you power down are you removeing 12V power or just useing the off button ?

when i use the off button its pretty close to no time if i remove 12 V it takes a while again :(

I am spoiled buy my old unit that had and internal battery

tommays
