Now JB, don't you go move this to the trolling motor section. It's going to be fisherman that knows the answer, not somebody that builds motors...lol.
Anyway, I heard of a product that you fasten to your trolling motor. As your prop hits and goes thru weeds and pads and muck....this thing is like a sharp piece of metal that stays secure in one place and because of the trolling motor prop force, it's suppossed to finish off cutting up weeds so they don't wrap all up around the motor and the shaft.
It's not a trolling motor prop. If you've got a prop that stays weedless....you've not been here.
Anybody heard of this product and know what it is or where I can find one.
Suppossed to be guaranteed 100% weedless...I'd like to take the challenge.

You're probably talking about "Shear Magic". I've been tempted to try it out myself, but it sounds to good to be true. You can buy it at mepps.com/mistertwister/library/lures/. I might do the same, you got me thinking about it again.

edited forbidden link

I'll go there and order one today. It's not the props that's my problem. I run a minnkota weedless wedge now and it hardly ever gets "stopped" by weeds. BUT, it blows thru hydrilla and pad stems and they get wrapped up on the motor housing and shaft. Always having to lift the motor and clean off 50lbs of "mess" to go more.
I'll get one on the way and post results in a couple of weeks.

WooooHooo!!!
(after all, whats another $20.....)
Few more bags of lures and I was THERE!!

THEN...........I was a mere $18.00 away from the SUPER DUPER DOUBLE BONUS 15% discount and some free useless stuff!!!

Lures? OH YEAH BABY!!! (whats another $18).

All I can say is....That trolling motor shear sure was expensive....lol.

If the fisherman knows anything about trollers he will find this in the troller forum.

No problem, throw me under the bus. That happened to me last year on that web site. Ended up up with more spinners, spoons and Mr Twister products than I could fit in my tackle box. Ended up up giving most of it away to my nephews. But I got some awsome deals!

Yep, I have one on order as of yesterday. I hope it works as there is a pond side of my mom's house that has some excellent fishing in the open holes and around the lilly pads. However until now you couldn't get to the open holes. :(

I sure hope this thing works.
