Evinrude Starting Problem

I own a late 80's, 50hp (2 cylinder), 2 stroke Evinrude outboard. It is in good working order now after replacing the impellor, and recently the trim motor finally had to be replaced. My problem is as follows. My outboard starts perfectly everytime from cold but is very difficult to start after it has been allowed to run and then allowed to cool down for about an hour. What are the possible causes of my problem.

Please help,

StuNZ.

Re: Evinrude Starting Problem

leaking fuel pump diaphram > slowly flooding engine
leaking needle and seat > slowly flooding engine
finicky power pack > no spark when hot

Does the engine smoke when finally started?
Is the primer bulb soft when hard to start?
Are the carbs dripping of fuel?
Have you checked for spark when not starting?
When you say hard starting, are you refering to cranking speed?
