IT,s a 1960 3hp. johnson with about 50 hours on it has one small dent in the gas tank otherwise it looks new

My 18 hp. is a 56 in fair shape both of these motors run but i don,t need them as i,m using a 9.5 a 40 & a 55

Boatsnmate, well I did some research. My motorguide is a Brute 12/24v 10 speeds, foot control, gatormount, 50lbs thrust, approx 5 years old. A brand new one similar to this is about $550. I checked ebay and found them both new and used between $70-$300. You might do better there because I would probably want between $200-$250 for mine. It may be worth less, but that's about what it's worth to me. I would rather see you get the best deal possible. Why don't you check out ebay and see if there's anything you like and if not give me a shout. I may be willing to negotiate, it depends on how bad I feel like spending the $$$ on a new one. Want a new genesis with mega thrust!

Excuse my ignorance, but I don't even know were Crete is. I normally fish Braidwood in Wilmington, or Lake Shelbyville. Plan on starting to hit Shabbona, I heard they are going to open it up to all size motors but enforce a no wake zone. I stayed away from there in the past because they wouldn't allow anything over a 10hp. Stay in touch, maybe when the weather warms up we can meet at a local lake. Did you hear about this crap weather we're suppose to get tonight?

Do you ever fish Braidwood? Every year I pull some nice bass in the 4-5lb range out of there. I'm wondering if there planning on opening this year because of the heightened alert. Have you heard anything?

Maybe you can show me some spots on the river this spring. I've tried fishing the Ill near Stratton park and got skunked, well I got a 4lb cat and a 3'gar but that's as good as getting skunked. Last time I went out there, we got there at 5:30 in the morning to find out that the launch doesn't open until 7:00 or 7:30. I ended up calling the police dept(they told me the night before opened at dusk) and they sent somebody over to let us in, mighty nice of them. Any other ramps open earlier than that? Do you ever fish the tournaments on the river?
