Well this week kinda sucks. I sprayed the flake last night, but didn't cover the black very well and had to do a silver stripe again.

I also had to smooth out a big uneven spot in that floor, but the heat lamp screwed up the cure and a big spot didn't set up right.

Sometimes things happen don’t beat your up over it. If it was a mistake you made then you learned something and that’s sometimes how we learn. Carry on.

I know I am not done screwing things up at times and I have been around the sun 60 times and still find new ways to go about doing the right thing the wrong way.

Gauge, the new kid, did his second ever paint job yesterday. An all around red hull side, and it's beautiful. His only other one was a small gel spot in, no prior experience. He's 19. He'll be better than me in no time. :)

I've been lazy about posting here. This week has been a 2024 Tige ATX.

The worst were those cracks around the vents and that chip on the step. There were also a few things to sand and buff. I got the three spots painted Friday, just didn't take any pictures after it was cleared. That color sucked to match, hopefully I have it blended out well enough that it's not noticeable. I think it's alright.

The hardest part is just getting in and out of the thing.

Mike, could use a recommendation

My 2023 Chap deck is Gel coat and has the small square pattern. The Gel is very thin and is already wearing through. Thought about using epoxy topside paint, but is there something else which would be better?

The small square pattern is same as office light diffusers

You could respray gel and use an overlay to keep the pattern

That's something I've never got to do. The boss and supervisor have done small spots with modeling clay to keep the pattern, but it's not something I know how to do. It sounds like Scott would be your guy for this one.

My options would be to either spray gel with a webbing additive, spray gel with sand mixed in, or use a piece of soft foam to dob the gel on (like texturing drywall mud). They will all give texture, but not the square pattern.
