@Pmt133 & @redneck joe

As previous winner and only current nominee input on how long to give Racer to respond? Til March 14 or 21? 2wks or 3?

i think you notified the wrong member Joe. TRH that you tagged hasnt splashed a boat in quite a while. You meant Racer, correct?

@tpenfield & @Fun Times can look for Racer's email and send a note to check this topic.

Joe, you need to accept the nomination and agree to the terms of winning....
I'm fine with doing the full 3. Restos have been light lately and if joe doesn't want to win by default the extra few days may help that! :LOL:

@crankbait cowboy has to accept nomination and agree to the conditions of winning: to be active post win.

W an 18 month hiatus, that may not be agreeable.

He and Racer have til the 21st to accept and agree to terms.

New house is getting cleaned tomorrow from all the construction and 48, 321 drywall cracks that has resulted from all the foundation repair, new hvac and all that fun stuff. New floors in late next week. Offer accepted on out house now all that side has started with closing 14 may, hit a deer on the way to closing on the new house then her car had a blowout and got towed then my tdi blew an engine so its at the shop and old pos ford new neutral safety swith so I can quit starting with pliers at the solenoid, pool salt cell crapped along with the cleaner and the filter pressure guage getting quotes on roof and gutters at the new place and wife traveling to Denver then India next couple weeks, two front teeth cracked so I currently look like a white michael Strahan until the crowns come in. Prob missed some events frome the last 45 days so if I dissappear for a minute I'll send you my number.

I'm telling myself the universe is getting all the **** out of the way before we move into the retirement house....

My guess is that during Covid, we saw a significant bump in splashes, then inflation went nuts and peoples income didnt follow. in the past 3-4 years, the cost of living is well over 25% higher . I know my salary has not increased to follow suit.
I totally agree Scott, I do know with the increased costs of restoration supplies I probably couldn't afford to do it now.

So I had a spread sheet for a lot of the supplies pre covid. The glass, foam and resin didn't change all that much. The rest changed quite a bit. And that's where the cost came from in my case. The us composites order was 3 grand. Woof another grand. I somehow managed to accumulate another 10 grand in parts and materials through this. :LOL:

I told the girl all said and done, including engine parts, cabin upholstery and the rest of the crap it neared 20k to fix everything. At first she was apprehensive that I spent that much of my money. (Not engaged, yet) so I then took her to the boat show and showed her what it could be replaced with. She no longer thought it was a bad idea to spend that much money vs buying something new/newer.

Just tell me where to drop the beer and don't tell her that only half those things were "necessary" expenses. :ROFLMAO:

That's a Keeper!
Knew her a long time before we starting dating. Was never learing about eachother. It was always growing with eachother. Always have legitimate reasons for things and she knew that. Just easier to show her vs explain as luck would have it... women prefer jumping to their own conclusions vs being told things. :LOL:

The last I checked (been quite awhile) the resin was 3x more than I paid.
