Oil holding tank - VRO 1988 Evinrude

I just baught my boat and replaced the VRO pump because I want to have the oil mixed in the VRO rather than mixing it myself. I know they have made advances in the VRO design. Anyway, I need a Oil Resevoir or holding tank, but I can't seem to find one anywhere. Any suggestions?

Hi MJE,<br />Most any johnson/evinrude dealer can order you one. I have three or four,and I would give you one if I didn't have to box it up and send it out. What the heck,if I can find a box I'll send it to you anyway. Give me an address.

go back to mixing it, it is not worth the risk.<br />add a little extra oil to your gas and go.<br />let the motor smoke a little, in years to come you<br />will still be using the same motor. the vro is not dependable. i have three of them and all disconnected. good luck, snuff.

If you want more information of the system, former and newer versions, type in the search word VRO in the search feature of this board.<br /><br />There has been asked some good queations and given really good information. I was going to disconnect my system, but now i will keep it for sure !!
