I have 1955 7.5 fleetwin with a 2 hose tank. Has anyone installed a fuel pump to adapt single hose tank? Or have any suggestions?

Hello alcan
My only question is where to attach the pump hose?
I have 2 pumps. One has a return spring and one
doesnt. Hooking them up to the crankcase breather
proved useless, even after removing the check valve. Should I drill and tap one cyl cover to
increase the pulse. If I cant adapt a pump Ill
just have to find another tank, but I wont give
up without a fight.

Hi Extech
I like your aditude. Try not to fight too much, thats no fun. In order to mount the fuel pump to the by-pass cover (intake side of block) you need to have a cover with the bosses cast into it. You could drill and tap your cover for a hose fitting. It's much easier to use the one on the intake manifold, as described in the above post. If you drill your cover you will still have to stop-up the hose fitting on the intake manifold.
