help!!Check valve one piece or two??

I have removed the check valve from my hydraulic tilt and trim and discovered that it is now in two pieces instead of one. Is this correct? <br /><br />1980, 85 hp evinrude 0/B <br /> <br />Another question.<br /><br />How much hydrualic fluid should be put in as there seems to be no window to measure level.<br /><br />TW

If the check valve came apart, there should be four pieces. You can reassembly the valve, check rubber seal on end of valve core.
