evinrude year and gas mix

I have a 60 hp evinrude model no 60452s serial no e01398. Im trying to find out what year it is and the gas mix any news would be good news.thanks Rex racer

She's a '64 motor. I know you'll get the rest of your answer here from one of the experts.

Howdy Rex.<br /><br />I think '64 was the first year that OMC engines went to a 50:1 mix. Prior to that they used 24:1. Maybe someone will come along who knows exactly.<br /><br />Good luck.

You're right - 1964 was the transition year to 50:1.
