'77 Johnson 35 hp fuel problem

Please Help!<br /><br />I have a '77 Johnson 35 hp that does'nt want to run. I have narrowed it down to a fuel intake problem. I sprayed starting fluid into the intake and it fires for a second. I have replace all hoses. what could be the problem??<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />Shawn

The float is stuck closed in your carb or the jets are completely plugged .Clean and rebuild it.

First double check the fuel lines to the filter they're very easy to flip and will cause exactly that problem. Had me stumped for hours when i did it.
