After reading other questions on this BB, I have the same problems as most of them, but not exactly. I problem is that after putting it in the lake. It starts and idle great, up to about 3500 RPMs ( my tack works like it is supposed to) it runs great. But after that, I can give it full throttle and it stays at 3500 RPMs. I replaced the main/reserve tank valve (cracked) was not the prob. I rebuilt the carbs, nothing wrong with them. New spark plugs. I was able to get it up to about 5500 RPMs one time. After that I put the tube in the water with a person on it, gave it full throttle, it reved up to 5500 but was bearly going any speed at all. I am pretty sure that everything in my full system is OK. Everything else is working right, no warning lights are anything else. I'm about to pull my hair out trying to figure this thing out.

I'm not as knowledgeable as some, if not most who post here, but sounds to me that your prop has given out & needs to be rehubbed. That would account for lots of RPMs & not much movement. Easy to check if you have a spare prop or can borrow one.

I thought of that, and I had a friend come over and look at it, he said everything looks Ok on it. Could it be something with the drive shaft or something inside the case?

Howdy, Bandit.

I agree with SoLittle.

A spun prop cannot be reliably diagnosed by hand.

Pull your prop and take it to a prop shop.

When you get it back, let us know more about your WOT rpm problem.

Good luck. :)
