Brian,

Do yourself a favor and get a manual. It will have a detailed schematic of your ignition switch. :p

That's alright Brian, I think that's what this board is for! Ask a Question, Get an Answer! Or at least I thought it was!

Rick

Hmmm. If all I did was what I know how to do I probably wouldn't do much. Every time I dig into a motor it is different with different problems. Seems that all of life is a learning experience. If you don't know what you are doing, you're gaining knowledge that you will appreciate the next time you are out trouble shooting. Just go slow and take things apart CAREFULLY. Don't be afraid to use a camera or camcorder before you disassemble... or as you disassemble. I've used the camera to help me put things back together that I never would have been able to trying to read a manual.

The easy way to replace the switch is to change one wire at the time.

Knapp16; Listen to Clanton & Randy: The best way is as Clanton says, replace one wire at a time. My manual says to use a camera before to get an idea where everything goes. I've done this and have not been in trouble since. Happy Boating, Hal

P.S. for rickdb1boat; Your right, I too thought this forum was to answer boaters questions, but when the same man posts 7 times in pages 1 through 3, he **** well needs a manual. Happy Boating, Hal
