Johnson 9.5 idle mix setup

My 9.5 (don't know year or serial number yet, will check tonite) has the external adjusment knob (long gone) and I want to set it to the factory specs. Some motors have a default setting like "all the way in and 1/2 out" ... anyone know the trick on this one?

i was actually tuning my 9.5 the other day cos its using a lot of feul(these engines are knoqwen to be heavey on juice anyway)<br /><br />start the engine and get it to idle<br /><br />then turn the screw in 1/4 and wait for the engine to respond<br /><br />do this until te engine is almost dying<br />then turn it out slightly to get a good idle and bobs your uncle
