Can anybody send, upload, post any wiring diagrams for a Johnson 115hp V4 late '60s early '70s with electric shift ?

I Have cranking at motor but no spark. I could wait to order manual (mine starts at 1973), but if motor is shot, I won't waste money with manual. This model has 1 coil on top of block and distributor underneath flywheel.

Does this motor has always power when you connect battery (like newer) and you have to shorten ground to kill it ?

Thanks.

Val

Re: Early '70s Johnson 115 V4 wiring diagrams.

It does have a distributor cap underneath flywheel, all looks in good conditions.

I don't have the remote control, so I cannot start from there, I am trying to figure out if it has spark form wiring the harness plug inside motor (black color). It this motor has always power to it when battery is connected and I have to ground coil or powerpack to kill it, then I have a problem with powerpack or main coil.
If there is a + to give juice to powerpack or coil, to start it, I'd like to know which one is.
That's why a diagram will help.

PS I really like your signature, I think it's one of the best ones I've seen in a while....

Thanks.
