I have the same Attwood Hydro-Stabilizers on my boat, and those are mounted correctly. I noticed that my boat handles better and can stay on plane at lower speeds with after I installed them. I would be interested to see what the Smart Tabs would do for me (with the hydrofoil removed) though. I do have a kicker motor mounted though, and wonder if the trim tabs would interfere?

farginicehole2;

The plate size is 11.5" x 8.5" so the plates will need about 9" clearance between the kicker motor and the transom. In some cases If the motor is monted on a bracket then you should have no problems. If it is mounted directly to the transom you will need to take some measurements. In some cases the customers have moved the pin out one or two holes on the kicker to gain some room.

Thanks, NautiJohn. I'll have to do some measurements and see what I've got to work with. I'm considering adding some sort of bracket anyways, but my motor is a long shaft and I would have to make sure that the bracket wouldn't put it any further into the water than it already is when mounted directly to the transom. Sorry Daviddsims, I don't mean to hijack your thread!
