johnson 35hp shortshaft rev but no oomph!

have johnson seahorse shortshaft 35hp have just replaced water pump and impellor but when i take the boat out she will rev perfectly but i cant get above walking speed. reving fast or slow doesnt seem to make any difference to speed. it looks to have air bubbles shooting out from prop.<br />have tried lowering engine in water and altering angle of engine but it just doesn't make any difference. Please can you help this female is getting desperate as i can't go fishin!

Sounds like the prop hub is slipping. Mark on both sides of black rubber hub w/ magic marker, etc. If marks move after running in gear, take prop to prop shop to have rehubbed (usually <$50).
