went out in boat started to adjust trim ,would not adjust ,tried the other two switches still would not adjust, then turn motor off would not restart, but everything else works fine, just no trim or engine nostart any information would be very helpful
bassinsam

As ob said, we need more info to help.

With the limited description you gave, I would guess a corroded battery terminal / electric connection.

The more description you can give us about your problem, the better chance you have of getting a correct response.

Good Luck,

Gold Bear
got power to starter solenoid ,can jump it and starter will engage ,also got power to relays and replace both relay, checked all switches and circuit breakers at switch panel all are good, batteries not corroded ,fully charged, good connection at all{its like no power at ignition switch, but i don't know if this would have anything to do with the trim not working}could a bad ignition switch cause this?i don't have any schematics to go by
Check all connections on motorblock grounds.Trim and tilt doesn't rely on its power through ignition switch.Insure tilt limit switch on tilt tube is not breaking circuit .
As far as the motor not turning over from ignition switch , inspect all connections to and from switch and verify voltage to ignition wire on solenoid while switch is in the crank position.Does the solenoid click when key is turned?
the very same symptoms on my brothers evinrude '90 120 (ae120txesb) there is a fuse under the hood that INTERMITTENTLY blows when trimming then no start, appears to affect both circuits.we have carried out a temporary fix with a rolled up piece of foil you get in a packet of cigarettes when out crabbing in townsville (the crabs are very tasty with chilli & garlic). i've got a clymer manual but not 100% sure what size fuse should be fitted.a blown fuse suggests a very high current due to short circuit thru the circuit rather than poor connections
