On the engines that are identical, yes.

Part numbers are different.

Suzi parts will not fit the OMC made 4 strokes from early to mid 90s.

Good luck. :)

JRJ:

I have the new Johnson (Suziku) 140 four stroke. It is my understanding that the parts are interchangeable with the Suzuki DF 140. You are going to love the engine, I will never own another two stroke!

Thanks for the info. I knew JB is a "Suzi" fan. Glad you're happy with your's aero320. I'm really looking foreward to this new motor. :)

If you buy a Suzuki instead of Johnson before 3/31 they'll give you a 6 yr. warranty. Price isn't everything.

The nearest dealer to me said they weren't participating in the extension or rebate program.
Johnson did. I agree price isn't everything.

Re: Johnson/Suzuki 4-stroke parts

Around here, there are not many Suzuki dealers. Lots of Johnson/Evinrude dealers however. The engine was used to repower a Triton Bayflight 18 bayboat that had a Ficht 175 that blew for the 4th time. The same gauges, controls, etc. worked with the new engine, did not have to change anything. Engine came with 3 year warranty with the option of a rebate of $4/hp. or an additional year of extended warranty. I opted for the rebate.

I have one 2 stroke engine left at my house and it powers a weed eater. I wonder if they make 4 stroke weed eaters? If they do I will get one this spring.

Forgot to include in last post, the dealer gave me a trade-in for the old Ficht.

If you don't mind me asking what do the suzi 140's go for and what kind of credit for the old motor on trade. I'm looking to buy a mako and replace the motors with the 140 models, may not be worth it if the motors are very expensive. Thanx.
