I need to replace the damaged prop on my Johnson 115 V4 outboard, what would be the best all around prop? The boat is a 1965 16'Fiberform that was given to me,and I plan on converting it into a fishing boat.
Also is there anyway to check and see if the prop shaft is bent?
Thanks for the help
Bill

The best prop is the one that gets you to 5800 rpm with an average load. It has a lot to do with set up (x dimension). Post results from what youve tried so far. We'll get it figured out but we have to know where we're at to know where we're going.

Good luck!

I haven't had a chance to try anything yet.
The boat was robbed of some steering pieces, the trailer was falling apart, and the engine didn't run when I got it,but now all I need to do is replace the prop, and replace the rotary steering system.
Then I'll be ready for the water. ;)
