Cornpile, are you using OEM parts? That is carb kits from Bombardier? The OEM kits have inlet needles tipped with Vitrom. This rubber is resistant against the formulated fuels we get today. The generic kits, from what I've seen. don't use Vitron. These tips can get "sticky" and cause problems. When setting the float, turn the carb upside down. Set the float just slightly high from level. Just a bit will do. I myself have a 85' 50hp johnny. It's been about four years since I've done carb work to it. Keep us posted. Just another thought. Are the throttle plates in time with each other? They should open at the same time. I'm assuming you have a manual, generic or OEM. Check out your sync and link and see what you find. It's an easy setting to perform. Keep us posted.
