Pressureized Fuel Tank

Is there a such thing as to much pressure in a one of those. Its for a old evinrude 18hp The motor seems to run smoother once theres alot of pressure in the tank. But when i turn the cap theres sure is alot of hissssssssssssssssssssss just wondering<br /><br />chris

so the more pressure the better the motor will run. Dumb question i guesss just dont need it exploding on me

Hi chris<br />I have never heard of one exploding on its own due to over presure. The presures involved are not that great. Use the same precautions as with any marine fueling operation and you be fine.
