1957 Johnson Seahorse

I need an ignition recoil for my 1957 3hp Johnson Seahorse. I think that will colmplete my motor. Anyone who can help me out would be greatly appreciated. If someone could assist me in my search and find a specific location to find one that would be great.<br /><br />--Starticus

I believe most common parts for those year models are available from a Johnson/Evinrude dealer that chooses to help you with your older motor needs or even a NAPA auto parts may have them listed in their marine parts catalog.

OMC original part# is 580118. This # supercedes four or five times to 584477. As Yepblaze suggests should be no problem finding one. Unless the other coil is of the newer type, you might as well get both.
