I have a 1976 evinrude 15hp. I need to find a diagram that shows the fuel filter and gaskets behind it as to how they are arranged. If anybody knows where to find this I would be greatly appreciative. There is a small spring and a large spring in there and I cant figure out where the small spring goes. The person that took my motor apart cant remember how it all went. Go figure!! Thanks for your help. Stoner

Stoner<br />I have a 1975 Johnson and I belive it is the same as the 76. What you are actually talking about is the fuel pump. I have the Factory manual but does not have even have a picture of the pump. The fuel filter screen screws down on top of it. I took mine apart myself and it took me two hours to get back together. New fuel pumps made different as each section has a tab and can only fit one way.<br /><br />I put mine back together logicly but took a while to figure out. It really is just a rubber diaframe with a input valve and output valve. Crank case pressure pushes diaframe away from block. Movement of rubber diaframe first sucks fuel in the input valve then pushes fuel out the output valve to the carb. I do not think you can buy parts of the fuel pump, they just sell the whole thing.
