Re: JOHSON 140 POWER TRIM SWITCH

I have A new 115 Johnson four stroke (ala Suzuki) I noticed the same with the trim switch. I haven't broken it yet (thirty - forty hours) but I definately is not easy to engage.

Re: JOHSON 140 POWER TRIM SWITCH

Musky, I had the exact same problem on my new Johson (Suzuki) 140 four stroke. They have a relay kit that solves the problem. Evidently Suzuki uses higher voltage or current for their trim switches. There is a relay kit from Johnson that solves the problem. Will try to find the number. Was Supplied along with a new trim switch under warranty. I replaced it this weekend and it works great. The relay kit plug in between the switch and wiring harness.
