I have a 1937 Johnson motor. Aproximately 4.5 HP
in good condition. It works okay. What is it worth?

It's only worth what someone will pay for it. Some people wouldn't even give you scrap value for it, while someone who's grand-pappy had the exact same model might be willing to pay quite a bit. All depends on overall condition, who's buying, when they're buying it, where they're buying it, etc. A common motor in the freshwater rich areas of the Great Lakes might be considered rare in salt-water Gulf coast....
- Scott

Re: Antique Johnson outboard motor

Thanks for your reply. I just had a guy wanting to buy it, but I have no idea what to price it. It is in really good shape and runs fine. I just don't want to appear to cheat him, but on the other hand, I would like to get something fair. See what I mean? Is there any kind of a "ball park" idea of dollar value...maybe $100? Do you think that this would be too much to ask?
Thanks for any advice you can give. I really appreciate your opinion.
