I have been tampering with this all day - This motor starts up and idles like a charm! however when I go to rev it up to a higher rpm it begins to smoke like crazy and wont open up all the way. It looks like its running real rich at high rpms. I took the 3 carbs off and cleaned them (I did not mess with the jets) and it still has the same trouble - any words of advice other than sell would be great!! Thanks Eddy

Hi Eddy....just a question or two...

Are you running the engine on "ears" or in the water? The engine will not rev to high when in neutral. There is a built in mechanical stop to prevent reving to high in neutral.

If running on "ears", there is no back pressure on the cylinders and the engine runs easier. Some of the fuel/oil mixture does not burn and thus the engine smokes a little more than when in the water.
