Got a new power pack on it's way to my house. OMC part # 0396224. Reading both Clymers and OEM manuals last night. Both tell me I need to pull the plugs off my old one. This is not good as I will not have a good used spare then, if this is even the problem. Will the new one at least come with the sockets on the wires? Can't get an answer from my supplier on this. Thanks for any info. Book says they're Amphenol connectors. We have tons of these at work, different styles, but been looking for pins and sockets all day with no luck. Do I need to order these too???

Thanks,
Mike

Re: 85 120hp Evinrude Power Pack

Thanks Nosleep, sure would be nice to just plug it right in, turn the key and............. Well, that may be asking a little much. :p But serioulsy, both manuals tell you to get the special OMC pin insertion and removal tools, and I think the quote was "Whenever replacing ignition components the plugs and connectors are reused......" Sure don't make sense to me! Thanks fer yer reply! ;)
