I have a Johnson 120 V4 VRO with a V6 Gear case and I need to know what year it is and if it’s a Looper or a Crossflow. I need to know so I can replace my shot starter. And one more thing dose this engine have the power to pull a tuber behind my 1985 17.6ft Glastron? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It looks like the 120s were made from 86 to 94, but those numbers don't come up to any of those.

Look again on top of the engine block and see if you see a model number.

CO in the model number denotes a 1985 model.

The 85' v4 120 is a loop charged engine.
