Runs great except for idle can I use carb cleaner. How can I just clean out low speed without total rebuild. Never done it and scared to try myself.

Tonja,

No, don't do it. It won't help and could very easily harm the internals of the engine.

They will need to be disassembled.

There is no magic juice that cleans restricted carburetors. They will have to be removed and serviced. You can leave them in place if you wanted to just remove the low speed jets and rod them out with torch tip cleaners. However the pickup tubes in the carburetor bowls are prone to restrictions as well.If you are not familiar with the procedure or feel uneasy in performing work yourself with the help of a manual, take your engine to a reputable dealer and have the carbs serviced.
