1975 Johnson 35hp Points?

I wrote previously that my outboard periodically lost full power. Now the engine went completely dead when running at full speed and has not started since. It is getting gas and the plugs are sparking, any ideas? Could it be the points are bad and if so how can I tell if they are bad?

are you sure johnny has points /if it was at f/t when it quit and still has gas/fire maybe flywheel key

The flywheel key is doing fine, just checked it today. The engine turns over and spits air through the water outlet but just never fires. Any ideas are welcome! Thanks.
