10' john and 5 . 5 motor will it work

ya think it'll work ok or is motor too much for this boat 10' aluminum "ouachita" john boat and that pesky 5 .5 evinrude :confused:

ha ha good 1 i needed that<br />not fast just wanna know if the motor is to much for this small boatdon't know what the proper rating is. A few small lakes near by with good bass and crappie<br />this is a 10' flat bottom jon boat

I don't think a 5.5 is too big for anything, much less a 10 ft. boat. I used to have a 12 ft. aluminum boat with a 35 hp Johnson on it. I can't imagine a 5.5 being too much for that boat. Happy fishing.

just make sure you have enough of your engine in the water when you install it, dont want to overheat it the first time out,

5.5 is perfect for a jon 10ft should plain well with 2 people .... :eek:

should work fine. <br /><br />as you see below i am running a 3hp on a 10ft bass boat. just like the 8 footers but with more room. <br /><br />never had a problem, but runs slow with a decent current in the nearby river. but great in big ponds or small lakes.
