Transom ?

Ok, have located a big bass boat, 20'er, and it has hit a rock or something while at WOT and has damaged the transom. <br /> <br />I can buy it for a song, but was wondering what kind of dollars I am looking at to have the transom repaired by someone that does this for a living. <br />Any ideas on this folks? <br />Thanks

SBN,<br /><br />Ballpark to REPLACE a transom would be $2000 to $3000. Not sure if you are trying to replace or just repair some damage.<br /><br />Just my $0.02 worth,<br />Joe

Thanks Joe, I would think replace would be on order since it cracked it straight up from the lower motor mount bolt to the top.

Barlow, it's a '99 Ranger and I think it's a 475 model.<br />EDIT: Just checked and it's R-91

About $2k around here. Is the transom cracked(actual wood) or is it just the 'glass cracked?

Twidget, I have not seen it, just going by what the owner is telling me and he says the transom is damaged to where the motor sits cocked or twisted around on it.<br />That's all I know.<br /><br />Barlow, I answered your question there also.
