replacing wiring harness

I am going to try to replace the wiring on my Johnson 50hp. If I order a new harness from land and sea, will the wires be the same color as they are on the motor now, as long as the ones on it now are original? Also how hard is it to replace all the old wires?

BBKing.....if Land&Sea are anything like Rapair after market harness', you should have no problem with the replacement. Just lay the new harness on the engine along side the old one to get the general "lay" and then remove and replace.

thanks outboardjim, the new harness is on the way. i hoped the colors would be the same to help with the installation. i guess us rookies gotta start somewhere
